Welcome to collaborating with Unfurling Oracle! We’re so grateful that you’re here. It is our dream that people feel invited and welcomed into collaborating. This is a community created deck - your contribution is so appreciated!
Two possible ways to collaborate are to create a card image or curate a story (or both!). On this page, we offer some specific instructions about each of these possibilities. We also invite you to imagine what kind of collaboration beyond these two possibilities feels best and right for you. This practice is grounded in relationships, and we hope to develop meaningful relationships with all collaborators. Please reach out to us if you are interested in collaborating in any way!
Create a Card Image:
All images must be vertical & will ultimately be edited to be 2 ¾” wide by 4 ¾” tall. Full color options will be available when the deck is printed.
All images need to be submitted digitally (reach out to us if you would like assistance in converting original art to digital forms).
As the cards will ultimately be printed into physical form, we are finding it to be helpful to create images that are more accessible to a wider audience. We encourage more abstract images and ask that you refrain from using specific references to time periods, locations, or people in the images. The stories - the digital element of this deck - are the space to get super specific! Check out some of the cards already published for examples (coming soon!)
Here is a current list of topics that someone is in the process of curating a story for that still need an image to go along with it! If you are interested in creating an image for one of these stories, please reach out to us and we will connect you with the story curator!
Curate a Story:
Each card in Unfurling Oracle has an accompanying “story,” curated multimedia content associated with the card. In order for there to be continuity between stories across the deck, we have created the following 3 part structure for each story. Please check out some of the current stories (coming soon) to see examples of this structure in practice. However, we also are aware that the work of dismantling white supremacy requires radically imaging beyond current structures, so if you are interested in curating a story with a different framework, please reach out to us - we’d love to be in conversation about it!
Presence practice. A short practice that invites participants to become present and embodied before they enter into the rest of the story. Examples of this may include meditation, visualization, grounding practice, connection to nature, body movement, etc...
Content. This is super open-ended! Our only ask is for you to be mindful of the amount of content you put into this section - is it too much for a participant to be able to consume and digest during an oracle reading? Additional content on the same topic can always be added to our resource library.
Action. As this is an action-oriented oracle deck, it is our hope that each story concludes with action around the topic.

(re)connection to earth
Finally, here is a current list of topics that we are interested in including in the deck, yet the process has not started. If you are interested in creating an image or curating a story (or both) for any of the following themes, please reach out to us!
body: sex, sexuality, & gender
creativity series: writing, music, art
A couple final notes:
We ask that all collaborators submit a bio that they are willing to have published on the Unfurling Oracle artists page. In addition to giving you credit for your work, we have found it to be helpful for participants to be aware of the perspective(s) of the individual(s) involved in creating the image and curating the story.
Nora and Wiggy are the facilitators of the Unfurling Oracle deck and are ultimately held accountable for all content associated with the deck. Therefore, if we find that collaboration submissions are not in alignment with our approach, we will engage in dialogue with you before publishing those submissions. If you are interested in joining us as a facilitator, please reach out to us to discuss this in more detail!
This deck is fluid and endlessly unfurling. We will be in touch about submission deadlines if/when necessary.
We extend utmost gratitude to anyone who considers collaborating with us and joining us in this journey. We SO appreciate you and the wisdom that you bring to this work. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
